Occupational and Contstruction Safety Training
Prepare for a career in occupational safety and health, preventing accidents and health hazards in the workplace, the community and the environment. Choose from a certificate or associate’s degree program.
This unique degree was developed as a joint program between Pierce College and Edmonds Community College. All courses are offered online to accommodate students' busy lives and schedules.

Generally, requirements for the certificate option can be completed in one year, while the associate's degree option takes about two years to complete.

Careers in Occupational Safety and Health
Occupational Safety and Health professionals work to prevent accidents and health hazards to workers, the community, and the environment. They are employed in every industry, including public and private companies, as well as with physicians, engineers, and management teams to eliminate work-related injuries and illness. They also respond to emergency preparedness and homeland security issues.
This field is a great move for people currently employed and seeking advancement in their career. There is also a need for beginning professionals to fill a variety of jobs in this field.
