Careers in Healthcare IT

Healthcare IT is one of the fastest growing employment markets. The Health Information Technology and Analytics (HITA) and the Certificate in Health Information Technology programs are designed for students interested in IT careers in the healthcare industry.

Students who successfully complete the HITA degree will be eligible to apply for entry-level IT positions in the healthcare industry. Potential jobs include data analyst, data analytics, data or database developer, business, systems or applications analyst.

You Can Afford a Degree

Adults who are moving from current jobs and/or degrees in healthcare or IT can have their experiences evaluated for college credit through the Prior Learning Assessment process.

Financial aid and scholarships are frequently available to students who qualify. In addition, special funding may be available for unemployed workers or low-wage working parents.

The Health Information Technology and Analytics degree is also eligible for the financial need-based Opportunity Grant Scholarship. Visit the Opportunity Grant web page to see if you are eligible and to download an application form.
