New Employee Orientation
What is the New Employee Orientation?
The New Employee Orientation provides onboarding and an organization introduction for temporary hourly, classified, and administrative exempt employees; student employees are also welcome to participate. The first hour includes a health and retirement benefits briefing for benefits eligible employees, followed by a two hour session featuring a welcome, introductions, an organizational overview, completion of required hiring paperwork, and an introduction to various district departments. After this general session, non classified employees are released to report to their departments for department specific training, while classified employees remain for an additional 30 minute presentation from a WPEA union representative.
When?
New Employee Orientations (NEO) are held twice monthly at both campuses and occur on the first business day of each pay period.
